I still need to put up the pics from the Butterfly conservatory.
It was truly amazing.

Today we are going to another state park and natural history museum.
Do some hiking and learn some things along the way.

And, oh yea, some more swimming of course!

Right now its Sunny and 75 degrees!

Earth day celebration.
Swam in the Gulf and in the straights of Florida.

This is how we get around.

It's called the 'trolly' and I think Ian likes to go to the kids club primarily because he can call the trolly to take him there.

5 AM

It's breezy this morning.
The air kind of unsettled.
The sound of the palm trees rustling
is a perfect white noise
no other sounds
quiet.
The water is warm and still
and in the darkness semi floating
the world disappears from my mind
all is still
quiet.

Ian & My quest for a burger

We rolled down the convertible top and hit the highway.
On the way we cranked the tunes and cruised.
We found a Burger King 7 miles down the road and
got double cheeseburgers.
We laughed, we talked and we soaked up the sun.

Bonnie's slow start

I spent so much energy to get us to this point I just can't get moving this morning. I finally slept more than 3 hours and it's finally quiet since I sprayed down the family with spf50 sunblock and sent them to the pool. I haven't even opened the blinds. It's cold & dark in here and quiet. I'm kind of digging it.

But I did get suited up and sprayed up and found a book and a hat so I think I'll head out soon.
Real soon just one more pass with the remote.

First morning in the keys

The sun is just coming up
but there is no predawn chill
just a soft
blanket of warmth
quiet except for the occasional gull call
My daughter says
"This is perfect Daddy."
And of all the sunrises, and there have been many,
that I have seen by myself,
even though the clouds obscured it,
this one,
With my daughter,
truly was perfect!

An incredible dinner

I had one of the best steaks ever!
The whole meal and service was excellent.

We leave early in the AM for Miami.
